Jose Prieto is an assistant professor at Universidad Diego Portales, Chile. His main research interests include supernovae, transients, massive stars and binaries. He has worked in many collaborations in searching for supernovae and other transients. Currently he is a core member of ASAS-SN (All-Sky Automated Survey for Supernovae) projects, which aims to make a census of bright transients (m<17) by frequently scanning the entire sky. Prof. Prieto will be visiting KIAA December 3-6 and December 11-13. In between, he will attend the China-Chile Workshop in Guangzhou.
